So much fun was had over 29 and 30 July at the ICNZB Conference. ICNZB have written a lovely thank you here which summarises things nicely. Smart Books had a great time sharing a stand with Tradie Terms. Lots of chats with ICNZB members and other exhibitors, and lots of fun. We learnt:
- Lucky dip prizes are a good idea (we had 8 prizes over the 2 days, as wall as main prize draws)
- Bookkeepers like free ‘stuff’ – our notebooks and lollies were a hit
- Getting to know the other exhibitors is good for business (and a good way to practice explaining what we are about)
- Important to stay hydrated and get some fresh air every few hours
- Sending out stand equipment and resources well ahead was a smart move
- Sharing a stand with another sole operator is a good idea
- It’s all about the people connections – lots of laughs, hugs and conversations.
